Though you are overjoyed at finally having to hold your pet after surgery, you will need to force yourself to listen to what the veterinarian is saying. Ask questions. When something is unclear, ask the vet to repeat it and clarify. Read the sheet when you get home. Pin the medication schedule where everyone in the family can see it. Ensure you know when to give the medications and how much medicine to show if any is required. 

TAKE IT EASY

After a vet surgery, the level of your pet’s activity may have to be at a minimum at home. Though the level of restriction would depend on the type of surgery done, it would be best to follow what your veterinarian has instructed or recommended.
